Help to Quit Smoking

Quitting smoking lowers your risk of cancer, coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and many other health problems. Within months of quitting, your lung function and circulation will improve.

How Quitting Helps

Even if you have cancer, tobacco cessation is one of the most important steps you can take to improve your overall health and reduce the risk of the cancer returning. By quitting, you will also metabolize chemotherapy treatments more efficiently and improve your lung function.

Your Cancer Institute team wants you to have the best possible chance for optimal health after your cancer diagnosis. Addressing tobacco use is a significant step.
